Colourful Day

The children had  so much fun today at the Colourful Day Event. The aim of this event was to increase awareness and collect colours for the sick children at Mater Dei. Thanks to the Student Council, Dr Clown, Nurse Claire from Mater Dei and everyone who contributed to this event.

Using The Beebot

Today the children really enjoyed using the beebot. I was able to create a food game for the children so that it would be related to the project at the moment. The beebot is an exciting little robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching counting, sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun!

Reverse Advent Calendar Project

Naxxar Primary School has joined the Reverse Advent Calendar Project in aid of the Foodbank at 210, Old Bakery Street, Valletta. Every day, starting Monday 3rd December till Friday 14th December. All the students will donate one non-perishable food item, from cans of food to sugar to cereals. The class teacher will tell the students what and when to bring the item to school. Project Reverse – Naxxar

Every single item will go towards people in desperate need, who unfortunately won’t have the kind of Christmas we are all excited about. This is a fully voluntary initiative. Feel free to opt out without prejudice!

So help us make a difference! Share your food! Share your joy!

Dissecting & Investigating Different Foods

Today the children were busy being investigators. After dissecting different types of food, the children were given magnifying glasses and tweezers so as to be able to get a closer look at what is actually inside the food we eat. Through their investigations, the children discovered that some foods have seeds inside whilst others do not.
