Today the children were able to learn about the importance of washing fruits and vegetables before cooking or eating them. After watching the video linked below, the children were able to wash their own fruits and vegetables.

Today the children really enjoyed using the beebot. I was able to create a food game for the children so that it would be related to the project at the moment. The beebot is an exciting little robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching counting, sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun!

The children enjoyed using different types of fruits and vegetables to print and create their own colourful painting. Everyone was eager to see what affect each food item would create.

Today the children were busy being investigators. After dissecting different types of food, the children were given magnifying glasses and tweezers so as to be able to get a closer look at what is actually inside the food we eat. Through their investigations, the children discovered that some foods have seeds inside whilst others do not.
